ZEN TAYLOR TRUST
Bringing Hope to Parents of Baby Loss
About Zen
Zen Jordan Taylor was born on 7th July 2019 weighing just 2.4 kilos with a complex congenial heart defect. He had 8 open heart surgeries including 7 in the final 7 days of his short 27 day life span and passed away on the 3rd August 2019 in his mother and fathers arms.
Zen was a beautiful boy who only ever got to be held by his parents and doctors and nurses, but everyone who came into contact with him was so taken by his strength and will to survive.
But unfortunately his tiny heart was unable to power his little body despite the amazing efforts of the surgeons at the Bristol royal hospital for children
This is just the beginning - '27 days forever'

OUR CAUSES
Breaking Barriers, Helping Comfort Grieving Parents
COMFORT IN GRIEF
One of our main causes here at Zen Taylor Trust is support for parents who have suffered through the loss of an infant.
We didn't leave hospital with a beautiful baby boy wrapped in a blanket, we left with what was a heartbreaking box provided by 4Louis.
As much as it did break our hearts, it was comforting and a cause that had an impact on our memories of Zen

RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE BRISTOL
One of our goals is to ensure that the RMH is receiving continued support.
Denise and her team in Bristol support the families of critically ill children by providing free accommodation whilst their child is in hospital.
The house is completely self-funded, receiving no statutory, guaranteed or regular income and relying on donations, fundraising events and their amazing supporters to keep the doors open to the families that need their help.

RAISING AWARENESS
One of the main reasons Zen Taylor Trust was founded in 2019 was to raise awareness for Congenial Heart Disease
CHD is one of the most common types of birth defect, affecting up to 8 in every 1,000 babies born in the UK.
A malformation of the heart, aorta, or other large blood vessels that is the most frequent form of major birth defect in newborns
